Founded in 2012, Ecoteknica is a scientific boutique consultancy. Our core group has decades of experience, deep strengths, and great flexibility to meet our clients' needs.
They are supported by a professional technical team covering our activities in marine sciences and ecology, education and outreach, full-stack data science, GIS and expert witness services in antifouling and biofouling.

Global Outreach
Ecoteknica is established in Yucatan, Mexico, with a subsidiary in New Castle upon Tyne, UK. We have successfully completed more than 50 projects in many countries which has won for our clients 2 international awards for innovation and two international patents.
All of Ecoteknica's impressive range of consultative ability can be delivered in English and Spanish.
Multidisciplinary Team
We are a highly-qualified team of professionals in the areas of marine biology and geography with deep academic backgrounds, years of consultancy experience and training in field and laboratory work at various scales, coastal communities, citizen science and international project management.
Also, we are experts in GIS, data science and predictive modeling, databases management, scientific tourism and software development.
Sustainability
Ecoteknica is driven by an ecological and social responsibility philosophy, and through its own agenda strives to reduce poverty and increase employment in vulnerable local communities while functioning with a zero-carbon footprint.
At Ecoteknica we try hard to have a positive local effect having designed and built our own sustainable offices and by living sustainably.
